Supporters of the Buckeye Automotive Family Foundation Driven to Grow Scholarship fund enjoyed a beautiful day on the Westchester Golf Course on Sunday, June 9th. The weather was perfect (after a few clouds at picture time:), the course was in great shape, and the teams enjoyed playing golf and having lunch together following the scramble. The winning team at 16 under par (wow!) was led by Buckeye Honda Service Advisor John Triplett, with son Ben Triplett (also the longest drive winner), Billy Dilley and Scott Harold. Steve Ilich won the closest to the pin competition on hole 17, and Jimmy Shaner won the longest putt on hole 9.
We want to thank again all of our hole sponsors listed below, as well as Westchester Golf Course for providing four rounds of golf for the winning team. Please show your support for our sponsors whenever possible! We also want to thank our volunteers Lauren Chafin and Cassie Marine who helped with registration, along with Gianni Young and John Triplett who assisted with organizing the golf outing and contacting sponsors.
Most importantly, we had the pleasure of having two of our 2023 Driven to Grow Scholars at the outing, Abby Triplett and Savanha Sikorski, who shared their appreciation for the scholarships they received in 2023. We want to continue this tradition so we all see the direct impact of everyone's support. Our goal is to award eight scholarships in 2024 as we continue on the mission to help build better families and raise amazing children through the power of education. We will share the names of the 2024 scholarship recipients in the very near future.
